From 1 October until 3 December 2026, the European Commission is conducting a public consultation on the proposal for a Regulation. EU KIDS Act – Safeguarding Accountability and Reliability in Digital Internet Spaces in the EU, an initiative that aims to strengthen the protection of children in the digital environment by establishing, among other measures, harmonised rules on access to some digital platforms, age verification and security obligations for online service providers.

Comments and opinions received by the European Commission will be summarised by the Commission and submitted to the European Parliament and the European Council as a contribution to the legislative debate.
